Description
3rd picture of my Hiccup/Toothless Costume for Adams County Fair 2010
I participated in a musical freestyle competition. What it is: 1. You pick a song (Mine was "Test Drive" from the soundtrack.)
2. You make up a pattern with a minimum of 10 movements (I made up a pattern that fit as close to the scene in the movie as I could, with "flying" circles and spiraling out of control, etc)
3. You design a costume that fits the idea of the song.
In my case, that was easy. I would turn my beloved noble steed, Nelson, into Toothless and myself into Hiccup. I hand-sewed everything you see here, including the tail that you can't see! It was LOTS of fun and people were AMAZED at my costume.
Also, I designed the wings to swing out when I pulled back on a string. You can kind of see them here. My dad didn't really get many good pictures.

Oh wow, this is so AWESOME!!!! There's a similar competition at a stable near to where I live and I would have done something similar to this but unfortunately it ended up getting canceled due to bad weather...
